Welcome 2025! We are looking forward to a new year of exciting and challenging projects! We already have the ball rolling on a handful of new projects! We have found that a lot of the uncertainty that was present last year is quickly disappearing. During an election year, many people pause spending and reflect on what has happened in the previous four years and start to make financial plans for the next four years.
Like it or not Covid shaped the past four years supply chain and cost increases. The radical changes that occurred made us all more conscious about making good decisions. Many people had to ask themselves “How long am I going to live in my home?”, “What are my prospects for advancement at work?”, “How do I pay for a project, and will I get a decent return on investment if I put more money into my home?” The answers to the questions are deeply personal and all factor into the decision to move forward with renovations.
We have had several clients that were on the fence through 2023 and 2024 return and decide to move forward with their project in 2025! This includes a couple of basement projects; a kitchen project (including the removal of a wall between the kitchen and dining room; renovating a second floor including a new kitchen and adding two bathrooms, new staircase and two new bathrooms to a third floor for the same apartment; a couple of ADU’s; and a major addition including bedrooms, bathrooms and siding the entire house. We hope this is a sign that our industry is moving in a positive direction!
